| Personal History | Valencia was born in 2366 on board the USS Fort Worth where her mother Esmeralda was a science officer and her father was one of the biologists on board. In 2373 when she was seven years old the Dominion War broke out and she was moved to live with her grandparents in the city of Madrid back on Earth. She lived there for two years only getting the occasional word from her parents that they were both alright. Luckily for her at the end of the war her parents were among the few to survive the war and when her mother transferred to Starfleet Academy to teach physics and her father came along to teach biology she moved back in with them. Much like her parents, Valencia chose a career in Starfleet and was formally accepted in 2383. She left for the Academy in 2384 and graduated from the Academy by 2388. She was assigned to the USS Hooke as one of the science officers on board. Valencia was also granted permission to operate the hydroponics bay on board and provide the crew with freshly cooked foods instead of just replicators. |
